In 2007 we celebrated our 100th anniversary, which gave Norfolk Tent Company bragging rights as one of the oldest tent manufacturers in the United States. Founded in 1907 and in continuous operation in South-Eastern Virginia, we continue to provide our customers with the best possible combination of quality workmanship, value, and service.

George & Brian are a true partnership between tenting veterans.

George found Norfolk Tent as a young man in 1979, he worked summers between college semesters. After 3 years, he was approached about becoming a partner owner with Clara Holton. In 1990, George sold his interest and decided to open Carolina Canopies, which in 1992 merged with Remsberg Tent. 

Brian comes from a tenting family- born and bred. He started by working summers at Remsberg Tent and joined fulltime in 1997. He has worn many hats over the years, including project accounting, project management, personnel management and even general manager. 

George & Brian worked together at Remsberg- growing it to become one of the largest tent rental companies in the US until it sold in 2001. They then used their collective knowledge to open US Event Structures, a structure tent rental company that manages large-scale tented events across the nation. 

Through their long-running work relationship, when Norfolk Tent became available (once again) for sale, George & Debbie and Brian & Julie decided to enter into another partnership. In 2019 they purchased Norfolk Tent.
